Pray: Start
by praying, pray a commitment to the Lord. Pray and ask the Lord for who He wants you
to connect with. Pray for the words that He would have you to share. Gather: Begin
a list of names and addresses. Start with any addresses you already have and then
directories, compile them to one place. This can take a little time so it will be an
ongoing process. Use a file box, a notebook, an address book, or a digital version
like Outlook, Palm, or just an Excel spreadsheet. Supplies
like - stamps, pens, and your monthly set of note cards, into one collective area. It
is a good idea to keep these all in one place where they are easily accessible; next
to a favorite chair, a basket, a stationary box, where you pay your bills, your desk,
your organizer, a traveling bag, or a photo storage box. Write: Simple
notes, this is not a letter, unless God would press on your heart otherwise, this is
meant to be simple encouragement. A few lines are very powerful and will only take a
few minutes a day. Everyone has at least five minutes a day; during coffee, waiting
for the kids, while the popcorn pops, while email is down loading, during a
commercial, on a work break, etc. Scriptures, inspired quotes, or even a simple prayer will be a meaningful gift in the middle of some ones week.
